Cure Marine Catamaran

Project Overview
A state-of-the-art 55-foot vessel crafted entirely from carbon fibre, this Cure Marine Catamaran represents the pinnacle of Australian boatbuilding. Constructed in Noosa and designed for private leisure, this luxurious catamaran required precision glass installations to complement its sleek, modern aesthetic. With more than 15 tinted glass windows, including curved panes, the project demanded expert craftsmanship, meticulous planning, and seamless coordination with other trades operating in the build shed.
Marine Window Services (MWS) was entrusted with delivering flawless installation for the saloon, hull, hatches, and doors, showcasing our ability to manage complex marine glass solutions for cutting-edge vessels like this Cure Marine Catamaran.
Installation Process
The project involved installing 8mm tinted glass windows, a mix of flat and curved panes, requiring precise handling and alignment to ensure a perfect fit. The process included:
- Placement: Positioning each glass pane with meticulous care to align seamlessly with the vessel’s design.
- Taping: Temporarily securing the glass for accurate adjustments.
- Adjustment: Fine-tuning placement to ensure flawless integration with the catamaran’s structure.
- Caulking: Applying high-quality sealants to secure the windows, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
- Polishing: Finishing each window to a pristine standard, enhancing the vessel’s aesthetics.
Despite the challenges of working in a busy shed with multiple trades operating simultaneously, MWS ensured uninterrupted progress by meticulously preparing all supplies and coordinating our efforts to avoid delays.

Challenges and Solutions
Working within the confined space of a construction shed presented unique challenges, including navigating around other trades actively engaged in the build. MWS tackled these challenges with the following:
- Advanced Project Management: Detailed scheduling and preparation allowed us to anticipate and address potential bottlenecks before they arose.
- Expert Coordination: Our four-person team worked efficiently to adapt to the dynamic environment, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Precision Execution: By preparing all materials and equipment in advance, we ensured a smooth installation process that adhered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Impact and Outcome
The Catamaran’s window installations were completed within a few days, ahead of the vessel’s scheduled launch in a few months. The result was a series of flawlessly integrated glass windows that enhanced the vessel’s modern design while meeting the stringent performance requirements of a high-end leisure craft.
This project exemplifies MWS’s ability to deliver bespoke glass solutions for innovative vessels. By combining expert craftsmanship, superior materials, and meticulous planning, we contributed to the realisation of this Cure Marine Catamaran’s exceptional design.
